Notices of Election for the 2020 Parliamentary Elections
The Elections and Boundaries Commission is required by law, to publish in the Gazette and at least one newpaper, election notices in the form set out as Form No. 35 in the Prescribed Forms Rules.
These election notices provide a host of information, for example, the names and addresses of the Returning Officers for the forty-one (41) Parliamentary Electoral Districts.

The Preliminary Results of the 2019 Local Government Elections
These are the preliminary results for the 2019 Local Government Elections.
With an electorate of 1,079,976 in 139 electoral districts in Trinidad, there was a voter turn-out of 34.49%.

Be aware and respect the laws on Election Day
The Elections and Boundaries Commission is advising all Political Paries, candidates contesting the 2019 Local General Elections, electors and all other democratic stakeholders to respect the laws or face the consequences.
Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. We have itemized for you in the flyers below, the list of election offences. Please be guided on the dos and don’ts, with respect to the law on Election Day.

What’s the law with respect to employees’ time-off for voting?
The Elections and Boundaries Commission wishes to bring to the attention of ALL employers and employees, the provisions relating to time-off for voting as stipulated in the Representation of the People Act, Chapter 2:01.
According to Election Rule 28, every employer shall permit each elector in his employment, to be absent from his work on polling day, during the hours of the poll for TWO HOURS in addition to the normal mid-day meal hour.
